A nice early primitive lemon squeezer. This rare lemon squeezer rises on four turned legs. We have never found one on legs like this one before. The top of the lemon squeezer is attached to the lower section by a large early cast iron hinge and screws that appear to have hand cut slotted heads. The top features a rounded turned handle that. Unique decorative round target emblem on top. Purchased at an auction house in New Lebanon New York and sold as Mount Lebanon Shaker. The Shakers certainly used items like this one but I have no further proof of provenance. 17” long with handle. 4 1/2” wide. 6 1/2” tall.
