For sale is a pre-owned Fisher Price Big Performing Circus Playset.  In researching this on the internet site This Old Toy, it has identified this as the repackaged version of the 1962 Fisher Price Circus. This was sold beginning in 1964.  This set is nearly complete, the only things missing are the blue ball that was attached to the rope used to pull the circus wagon, the red ball and the black tub.  The 1962 Fisher Price Circus included 4 yellow dowels/rods (10 inches long) but in this version one of the dowels/rods is replaced with an aerial pivot spinner.  Further information can be found on the This Old Toy website https://thisoldtoy.com/L_FP_set/toy-pages/900-999/900-bigperformingcircus.html

The above mentioned This Old Toy link addresses the top of the removable wagon which lists an inventory of pieces of equipment and it shows 4 dowels/rods and no aerial spinner.  It seems as if Fisher Price replaced one of the dowels/rods with the aerial pivot spinner and did not make the change on the equipment list.

Included in this sale are the following:
All 11 performers to include Ringmaster, Clown, Horse, Giraffe, Seal, Elephant, Tiger, Monkey, Bear, Camel and Dog
1 Wagon
1 Removable wagon roof
4 red ladders
3 ladder connectors
3 yellow dowels/rods
1 trapeze bar
2 piece connecting stage
1 aerial pivot spinner
1 balance board

The circus wagon has some stains and there are spots of paint missing on the wagon and removable roof. All the plastic pieces such as the ladder connectors, trapeze and aerial pivot spinner are very clean. All the performers have their full stickers, nothing peeling off.

Overall this is just about as close as you can get to a complete set.  The pieces missing here are the ball and tub, the ball would be used by the seal as he balances it on his nose and the animals balance on the tub.  It's a wonder to find a 60 year old toy such as this virtually complete.  All the times this toy was played with and all the pieces were taken out and played with all over the floor. Only 2 of the pieces were lost over all these years.

See the pictures for a detailed description of the condition.  The 11 performers are in very good shape with the exception of the monkey who has lost his wire tail and the seal who has the back of his tail broken off.
