In looking on the internet for a similar rug this is what I have discovered.

I believe this to be Karastan Lanamar in Kashan Design All Wool Face Machine Made in U.S.A. Area Rug

I am assuming this is the Karastan pattern, Pattern No. 5517, because I have a similar, smaller Karastan, from the same estate that has this same look and it is pattern 5517, based on its labeling.

Approx. size is 1 foot 8.5 inches X 3 foot 2 inches (see images)

This rug is likely 70 to 100 years old.
