Castle and key of Gibraltar; above the castle the Sphinx on a tablet inscribed MARABOUT. Below the castle a scroll inscribed with the motto 'PRIMUS IN INDIS' (First In India). A laurel wreath encloses the castle and motto scroll and joins the tablet at the top. At the bottom, beneath the scroll, the wreath joins a further scroll inscribed 'DORSETSHIRE'. The wreath and Regimental title in gilding metal, the remainder white metal. Slider to reverse.
