Have you always wanted to own a “1955 Ford Thunderbird” but can’t afford the real thing?
Here’s the next best thing. In this auction is a Mid-Century Modern metal bank by Banthrico of Chicago in the form of a 1955 T-Bird. (If you’re the winning bidder – and a practical joker - you can brag to your friends that you bought a “55 T-bird” online for a little over ten bucks.)
The bank measures approximately 7 inches long by 2 inches tall by 3 inches wide.
The four wheels move so you can roll the car bank back and forward. The bank has nice lines, and an impressed license plate with the raised numbers 1955.
On the underside is the place where you would insert (or remove) coins from the bank. Also on the underside are markings indicating T-Bird, Banthrico Inc. Chicago USA and the copyright symbol 1974 Banthrico.
This would look great on a shelf, desk, office or man cave. A great way to encourage saving or promote interest in classic cars.
