In my opinion, I put these as new with defects only because they are absolutely brand new, and have never been worn but the rubber is of matte material, not shiny or clear, and therefore looks like it has ever so slight hazy scuffing (as photographed), although they are not scuffed. It is just the materials that were used when they made this.
