Borosilicate Water Gauge Sight Glass Tube, 
For Stuart, Reeves and all other Live Steam model Boilers, i.e. Traction Engines, Stationary Engines and Locomotives (Trains)
Each tube is supplied with matching, industrial quality, 70 Shore Nitrile O-ring Seals to suit the OD of the Glass - 2 seals on the short length and 4 seals on the longer length.

Borosilicate Glass (Pyrex) is tough, resistant to thermal shock and has a low coefficient of expansion, which is essential for Water Gauges and Sight glasses. (This is not the case with Soda Glass tubing)

  • 4mm OD (1mm wall)  (approx 5/32")
  • 5mm OD (1mm wall) (approx 3/16")
  • 6mm OD (1mm wall) (approx 1/4")
  • 7mm OD (1mm wall) (approx 9/32")
  • 8mm OD (1.5mm wall) (approx 5/16")
  • 10mm OD (1.5mm wall) (approx 3/8")

A Choice of Lengths:
  • 50mm (approx 2")  - Supplied with 2 x seals
  • 100mm (approx 4") - supplied with 4 x seals
Please note that pictures show both length options for any given size, but you will receive only one tube of the chosen length, for each order placed.

If you need a specific length:
  • Choose size based on pricing rules below
  • Purchase the quantity of tubes you need
  • Include the required length(s) in a message, before or after you buy. 
  • Add a 0.99p 'Cutting Service' to your basket. This covers just one cut on all tubes ordered
  • Tubing will be supplied with square, plain cut end
  • Cut lengths will be as accurate as possible but please allow +/- 1.3mm
    • Price for 50mm covers requested sizes up to 63mm 
    • Price for 100mm covers requested sizes from 64mm to 115mm
