The Butterick B3072 sewing pattern is a historical costume set featuring a coat, vest, shirt, pants, and hat. The coat is loose-fitting and unlined with a collar, front bands, flaps, long two-piece sleeves with cuffs, and button trim. The lined vest is also loose-fitting with low armholes and a button-down closure. The oversized pullover shirt includes a collar, front neck slit with placket, and long bishop sleeves with placket/button cuffs. The pants, designed to be below mid-knee, feature front waist/leg bands, an elastic waist/leg, and button trim. The hat completes the look with its top, crown, and brim. Recommended fabrics include velveteen, velvet, wool, wool blends, heavy gabardine for the coat, and muslin and cotton blends for the shirt.
