A beautiful, velvet bag with Lucite handle by Edward's Bags Ltd. 1950's. I had a hard time photographing the true color, but it is a beautiful raspberry pink. The velvet could use a good cleaning and brushing. A reputable dry cleaner will be able to do this. There are 3 bald spots where velvet is missing, when looking at the front of the bag, it is on the right side on the interior of the backside of the bag. It is the size of the end of a pencil eraser. The other two bald spots are looking at the front, lower left hand side. They are small. The rest of the markings shown (mostly on the backside) are the velvet that needs to be tamed down again by a cleaner or steaming. The instructions are on the hangtag from Crompton Velvet. Please see last 3 photos for a closer look of the bald spots. The Lucite handle is in beautiful condition. The gold/brass metal shows little signs of wear. Black satin interior. On one side there is an open pocket, a zippered pocket and on the opposite side, 2 card type slot/pockets. It has a little black change purse attached with a gold chain. The color of the satin on the inside of the change purse is gold. This measures 14" tall total with handle, 10" across the bag. Handle drop is 4.5".  Bag opens to 7".
It is absolutely gorgeous for being almost 70 years old! Free US shipping.
