Agfa Silette Compur-Rapid Camera With Apotar 1:3.5/45 45mm LensCamera:

• 35mm film viewfinder camera with a lever wind advance and an accessory shoe (Agfa KM flash compatible).
• Made in Germany by Agfa. 
• In the USA, this camera was sold as Ansco Memar. 
• There were 6 types of Silette made between 1953 - 1958 with technical or cosmetic differences.This one is a Silette Type 2 which was introduced c.1957.
• Compur-Rapid Shutter (1/500). Other available shutters were Pronto (1/25-1/200) or Prontor (1/300). 
• Apotar 1:3.5/45 45mm Lens. 

This camera was purchased in Bavaria by my grandfather and given to my father as a gift in the late 1950s/early 1960s. He used it regularly for many years.
