Eddie Jones played for the Temple University Owls where he was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Year in 1994.

He was drafted 10th overall by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1994 NBA Draft.

During his basketball career, he played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Charlotte Hornets, Miami Heat, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, and Dallas Mavericks.
