Octavo (5 by 7 1/2 inches) [x]; 528pp. Original blind-embossed brown cloth lettered in gilt on spine & front board. Engraved frontispiece portrait of A.T.T.P., errata, and b/w plates. Cloth lightly rubbed with loss and wear to points, head, and heel; page edges toned, light foxing to preliminaries;  ffep removed with remainder; spine a bit shaken with frontispiece loose and laid in. Very scarce title. An early and exceptional title on supernatural, occult, and paranormal experiences.

A.T.T.P. or, Andrew Thomas Turton Peterson (1813-1906) was a British barrister and Spiritualist who had as his medium an uneducated convict by the name of William Lawrence. Lawrence channeled messages from well-known educational and spiritual leaders throughout history and later served as the channeller for William Blake and Henry Fuseli.
