1936 Oregon Trail Commemorative Half Dollar coin graded by NGC at MS65 with CAC endorsement.

COMMENTS
This coin is an excellent way for the more discriminating collector to acquire an attractive PQ Oregon Trail with desirable eye pleasing tones.  This specimen has an overall lovely base of copper-bronze-gold on both sides that's as uniquely evenly spread as can be.  Usually, this degree of attractive toning is patchy or blotchy - not this one! The coin is free of displeasing distractions such as scratches, scuffs, spots, and luster breaks.  The surface has consistent strong lustrous sheen to highlight the smooth surfaces framed in devices that are very strongly struck.  At close look, it's quite possible this item has higher grading potential and could present an opportunity to the right buyer.  At minimum, this specimen is best of class and we think you'll agree with CAC and us!

Of all the 1892 to 1954 Classic Commemoratives, the Oregon Trail is one of the most popular and generally commands a premium with all else equal.  If you desire a uniquely toned Oregon Trail in your collection, you absolutely cannot go wrong with this item!

Feel free to request other photos and we'd be happy to provide.  We shot a couple sets with different lighting characteristics but no filtering or doctoring - all natural photos!  We did our best to carefully provide the most accurate photos as possible - however, this beauty will still look better in your hand! As eBay sellers, we want to be sure there is no mystery with coin you are buying!!!

    About the Oregon Commemorative Coin
The Oregon Trail Memorial Half Dollar was a fifty-cent piece struck intermittently by the United States Bureau of the Mint between 1926 and 1939. The coin was designed by Laura Gardin Fraser and James Earle Fraser, and commemorates those who traveled the Oregon Trail and settled the Pacific Coast of the United States in the mid-19th century.
