Great antique folk art wood carving of a street bum or hobo by the "Jailhouse Carvers" in great original condition.

The Jailhouse carvings are highly prized and this s a really wonderful example.  It has all the classic features collectors like. The street bum is in need of a shave, is chomping on a cigar and he is carrying his bottle of brew! His red jacket & brown pants have rips, tears and patches and his toes are coming through his right shoe. He is wearing a black hat.

The carving is in the best condition and must have been stored away for many years.  The colors are quite bold.

The street bum is about 6 1/2" tall.

This came from a local Lancaster, Pennsylvania collection and is fresh to the market.
