Antique Victorian Tufted Armchair in Chartreuse Velvet and Floral Tapestry with Handcarved Detail

Incredible late 1800s to early 1900s Victorian hand-carved antique armchair on casters. Likely a chair for the family library or nursery in a posh residence. This American-made chair features exquisite carvings and is upholstered in luxurious velvet. It is a unique piece with character and charm. Its dimensions of roughly 35" in length, 22" in depth, and 45" in height make it a comfortable sitting chair. This chair is sure to draw attention and make a statement in any room.

Purchased in Los Angeles.
Some flaws in the textile (tear on top and stain by where the back of the knee might rest) and some minor damage to the wood - including a more significant issue with one of the decorations at the top on the right -- see last photos for close ups of damage.

Possibly walnut - I'm unsure.
Original casters. Rolls well.
Beautiful hand carved detailing.
Chartreuse (green yellow) tufted velvet with a wide floral band running down the center.
