Vintage Tin Lithographed Clucking and Egg-Laying Chicken
NO EGGS
By Baldwin Mfg Co Inc.
Made in the USA
Likely from the 1930s
5-1/2" long, 3-1/4" wide including crank, 5" tall
Condition: Previously owned and used. When you turn the crank, the chicken makes noises that sound somewhat like clucking. There is a marble stuck in the egg-laying space. I have no idea how it got all the way in there as it is bigger than the chute for the eggs.
The chicken has scratches and worn areas. There is some rust around the upper part of the tail, on the face, and along some of the edges. It's still a neat piece and would look great as part of a display of primitives in your kitchen. Please see photos.
