Hard-to-find flared glass bowl from the Duncan & Miller "Murano" #127 line. It has the Murano lacy edge with a flower-shaped Canterbury base. It even has the remnants of the original Duncan silver sticker on the inside bottom! This could be the "Dawn" color from the end of the Duncan years or from the bridge years of the 1950s when Tiffin took over Duncan and changed the name to "Twilight." In either case this is most definitely alexandrite glass, with its characteristic color change from lavender in incandescent light to icy blue in fluorescent light. Most of my photos were taken in normal sunlight and the last photo was taken under a fluorescent indoor bulb (sorry, the only ones in my house are in the basement!).

This bowl measures 11" in diameter across the top, 3 1/2" across the base and 5" tall. I think technically this is considered the #108 10" bowl although it is actually a bit larger than that. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or other damage.

If you collect alexandrite glass from the elegant glass era, then you will definitely want to add this to your collection. Please see my other current and upcoming listings for more Twilight pieces from the outstanding collection of Duncan & Miller/ Tiffin that I purchased from a fine collector's estate auction!
