A vintage black graduation gown by the famous robe makers Ede & Ravenscroft by Royal Appointment to The King and Queen - I would guess this is King George VI and Queen Elizabeth ( later the Queen Mother) They ruled 1936- 1952 and the robe was probably made during these years.
The fabric is fine black wool.
The robe is open at the front with wide bell shaped sleeves, it has detailed pleating across the back.
There is some damage but this cannot be seen when the robe is worn - please see photos and check condition report.
Size - Medium - best fit for chest size 38- 42 inches - shoulder to shoulder 15 inches. Length from nape of neck to hem 47 inches.
Suitable for graduation, school master - or vintage event.
