This remarkable covered cheese dish is labeled "The chalk and Cheese" and consists of two pieces. The white base is marked Geo. l. Ashworth & Brothers. LTD Manly 1963 and is 7-1/4"long by 5-1/4" wide and 11/16" deep. The house, in the design of an English pub is 5" high by 6-1/4" long by 4-3/8"wide and is marked on the inside face of the back wall "Village Stores by WADE Staffordshire England". It is a base of white plus red, yellow, green blue and black, with a light beige roof.
