I really wish that more people were aware of trauma and the way that it can affect a person's thought process and the behaviors that they engage in. If you have been affected by trauma, it is essential to keep in mind that you have survived in whatever way you could and that the reactions you are experiencing are common and normal. Going through more trauma can cause you to start being affected by the trauma you've already been through, or it can make the problems you already have even worse. It is never inappropriate to seek help, even if you are unsure of whether or not you have been exposed to traumatic events. This book was written with the express purpose of assisting you in recognizing and overcoming trauma.
