Gorgeous Edwardian to late 19teens horsehair braid hat. The only issue I can see is a hole in the braid at the back of the brim. You can see this in the photos. it is made of "horsehair" braid over a wire frame with a polished cotton lining. There is a string that would have helped keep the hat on the hair. The outside of the crown is larger than the inside, as these hats would have perched atop the voluminous hairstyles of these eras. All it needs is to be decorated!!
