news includes:" Mr. Robert O Grayson, formerly of Alexandria, on Sunday morning last, shot in Stevensburg, Culpeper County, a young man named Brown, son of Mr. M L Brown, with a double-barrel shot gun, loaded with buck shot and balls.  Mr. Brown received seventeen wounds, but was alive at last accounts. The cause of the shooting was alleged improper familiarity between Mr. Brown and Mr Grayson's wife. "
"Another confiscation case.- The Police made a raid on a hog -pen in the lower portion of the city yesterday, and captured six fine porkers. They are confiscated to the city under an ordinance of the council, and will be sold this morning at 10 o'clock, near the city jail. " etc.
