Having found hundreds of old rustic horseshoes piled up in the back of a local blacksmith's barn, we're offering a randomly chosen used REAL horseshoe worn by REAL horses. Each shoe is individually crafted and truly rustic, meaning it is well-used, worn, and rusty, with many natural and usage-related imperfections, dents, scratches, etc. They've been exposed to wind, rain, mud, etc., so expect some rusting and unique wear patterns.

Designed for Clydesdales, Draft horseshoes are the biggest horseshoes used today and are used to protect the nails of draft horses from the elements and pavement. At approximately 7.5" wide by 7" tall and weighing nearly 3 pounds, these are HUGE, real, and unique horseshoes perfect for rustic decor and craft projects. Worn by Clydesdale horse horses, each shoe is unique in shape, size, and thickness and has been hammered and molded to fit the horse's foot that wore it. All shoes have had the nails removed (unless requested).

We've sorted them by shape and size, so what you'll receive will look "generally" like those pictured in the photos. Remember that these were hand-forged rather than cast, so each horseshoe will have its own distinct and unique shape - no two are the same! However, we attempt to ship them in pairs that resemble each other as closely as possible.

These draft horseshoes feature "caulks" or "calks", which are raised tips on the ends of the shoe. These protrusions or elevated points on the heels of the horseshoe come in various shapes - including flat, pointed, or stud-like configurations - and provide additional traction and prevent slipping, especially when draft horses are working on challenging surfaces, such as muddy or slippery terrain.

Use these as traditional good luck / lucky horseshoes, charms to enhance your country or western decor, or for craft projects or decorations. Nail them to your wall, or incorporate them into your custom art project.
