Here is a nice old RPPC Real Photo Post Card for your collection!

This card comes from a 40 year collection of fine postcards I've purchased. These include better RP's, Hold To Lights, Halloween postcards, Expositions, Santa's and much more! Check out the others in my eBay store and stop back often for new listings!

This postcard shows a great view of an old roadside gas station. An attendant or possibly the owner stands in the doorway in a white uniform. There are two old glass topped gas pumps out front. A sign on the front of the building reads The Only Petrified Wood Station In The World. Another sign reads Washing Greasing. The glass gas globes are hard to read but have shields on them, possibly Phillips 66? Card front is printed and reads Believe It Or Not, Only Petrified Wood Filling Station In The World, W.G. Brown Owner Lamar Colo.

Lamar's Petrified Wood building started out as a gas station at 501 N. Main Street in Lamar CO, built by lumber dealer W.G. Brown in 1932. The building walls and floors are constructed of large pieces of petrified wood over 175 million years old. In 1962, the service station became Lamar Tire Service. Later, it housed a used car dealership...

Card back is divided and not postally unused. Condition is very good to excellent as shown in the scan. Guaranteed vintage and original. The watermark is not on the postcard you are buying here.
