This thin and finely woven all wool rug appears to have goat hair warps and red-dyed wefts and is irregular in dimension ranging from 47"-40 1/2" wide x 52"-54" long.  The dyes appear to be vegetal and it looks like it could be 19th c. to me.  It has low even pile overall with scattered small holes from old moth damage and there is notable end loss.  It has pronounced abrash and it appears as if it may have been formed from at least 2 fragments from the same rug; I have included several images of the back where the pronounced color changes occur so you can determine for yourself.  The rug is quite dirty (NO pet odors) and needs a proper cleaning.  It has no hard spots and is quite flexible and retains structural integrity.
