Well painted, original Ink, gouache & watercolour costume design by Kent artist & designer Beth Branfort, painted circa 1930.

Depicting an Art Deco influenced costume for a traditional Burmese Dancer.

Signed lower right. Other than her address in Sevenoaks, I have been unable to find out much about this artist/designer. Her work appears to cover around 30 years, between the early 1920s to the 1950s, and the six examples I have are all costume designs. However she also created children's book illustrations during that period.

Ink, gouache and watercolour on watercolour board. In a modern silver gilt wood frame with single mount.

Watercolour in good original condition, there is some light age toning to the sheet (see photos). Frame with some nicks, scratches and rubbing to the gilding, mount clean (see photos). As always, condition is already reflected in the price.

Image 26.8cm x 18.3cm, frame 48.5cm x 38.5cm.

Delivered ready to hang.

This is one of six costume designs by the artist I will be listing.
