This is a guaranteed old bell. Old bells typically have a wear ring inside from the clapper; be wary of new ones being offered, they lack the wear ring. This size bell was generally used at the one room school houses and sometimes the call to meal bell at a farm. This one is in good used condition with no damage, no chips, cracks or repairs; only wear and some small nicks from use. This bell was used, it did not sit on a shelf as a decoration. It is 11 ½ inches tall and 7 inches diameter at the bottom. There are glare spots in the photos from the lights.
