Here's a high quality walnut server or console likely made by the Lifetime Furniture Company in Grand Rapids in the early 1900's. This piece was probably part of a complete dining room suite but has now surfaced by itself. In a suite it was probably a server but it is also a perfect console. The primary wood is walnut and the secondary wood is incredibly quarter sawn oak.  Such quality. The edge of the top is molded and carved. There are 2 carved front drawers with original brass ring pulls. Left and right of a carved center panel, the lower doors are paneled and stylishly decorated on the original green painted background. As with many pieces of furniture from this time period, we see a blend of styles and designs, in this case I think Spanish and Italian influences. The case rests on turned ball feet. The piece is 44 inches wide X 18 inches deep X 34 inches tall. What a versatile size. It's in excellent original condition.
