You are buying the flat iron / straightener that you see in the pictures. It is tested and working without any operational issues. The only issues worth noting are some usual scuffs and a couple of the dots on the little readout do not work. It is still relatively easy to tell what setting you are on - I'm just pointing it out ahead of time. 

This is a nice wide model. It is working great and it heats up quickly!
