Hi,

Due to a change in circumstances, I have sold my telecaster. As a result, I unfortunately don't have a use for these wonderful Throbak MXV 59 Telecaster pickups.

If you are looking at these, I suspect you will know what they are and how good they are. However, specs as follows:

The pickups come in their original box/packaging, with the spec card, unused screws and tubing, wiring diagram, Throbak sticker and picks. They are as new and unmarked. Wires are full length, as from Throbak.

I only recently purchased the pickups (from Coda Music) but in the intervening period there have been a few changes. So whilst I knew my tele was going, I did fit carefully fit them just to see if they are as good as I had hoped -  the answer is a resounding yes! Lovely vintage style bridge pickup with "twang" and bite but not "ice picky", and a full, open sounding neck pickup. They are also perfectly balanced between the neck and bridge, as you would expect.

These were up against a set of hand wound Abby pickups that came with my tele - the Throbaks were significantly better in every regard (not that the Abby's were rubbish).

Now, these things are serious money, if you can find them. Current pricing from Coda Music (only UK stockist) is £519(!) for the set but they are out of stock. As you can see, I am asking significantly less than this for what is effectively a new set with all of the original packaging and "case candy".

Any questions, please feel free to drop me a line and thanks for looking
