Vintage MG Convertible Die Cast Toy Car with Store Rack Display Box. This exquisite MG was made by Midgetoy in 1958.  It was patterned after the mid 1950’s Triumph model, convertible MG. Look at the distinctive details! 3 color paint details. Green body, Black seats and black rear mounted spare tire. Silver Bumpers, Grill, Headlights, Running boards and hood and trunk trim. The inside steering wheel and glove box are also highlighted in silver. This is an exceptional item! Typical handling patina & minor surface rust on the axels, otherwise, Perfect Condition.

This toy was made by Midgetoy, Rockford, ILL. We found a few boxes of toys like these in the old Midgetoy distribution warehouse.  They sold several dozen different toys with this Box/Card arrangement. They put the car on the top of the box, in front of the yellow oval on the card for contrast. They had clear blisters that mounted over the cars. The box is empty but it marketed several toys successfully! It displays well. We do not have any of the blisters.

Very rarely do we have the opportunity to offer such a unique item complete in the store package. You are buying the one, with the original Box/Card as shown in the photos.
