Here i present an indo persian mughal ottoman shield war dhal.

The dhal is decorated with gold and silver koftgari work.
The iron shield is hand chiseled and has creepers and leaves engraved all hroughout the outer circle of the shield.
The center has foliage pattern engraved and decorated with silver damascening koftgari work.
The boses of the shield are decorated with gold koftgari work.

Outer lining of the shield is covered with silver koftgari work
The ganga jamuna work of gold and silver looks very synchronized and the back of the dhal is covered with a new lining.

This is an old shield dhal and is a rare collectible piece to hang on a wall.
