Stacked BSI Live MOS sensor
The 20-megapixel Stacked BSI Live MOS sensor is an extraordinary evolution in image quality. It uses a revolutionary arrangement of optical elements to capture more light while improving low-light performance. The photos you create boast stunning resolution with low noise and rich dynamic range, from shadows to highlights.


Photograph in low light conditions
No more stress when photographing indoors or in low light conditions. This model has a standard ISO range of up to 25,600. When the light is low, you can increase the ISO up to 102,400 to take bright photographs in even the most challenging environments.


IBIS improved
Stop worrying about possible camera shake even with slow shutter speeds. We've spent years developing the world's most effective image stabilization system: free yourself from tripods and other stabilization equipment and shoot superb handheld tele and macro photos. Live ND
Why carry ND filters with you if they are already built into your camera? The OM-1's Live ND mode includes up to ND64, offering a wide range of effects. Before taking photographs, you can preview the effects of slow shutter speeds in the viewfinder.


Freehand High Res Shot
Sometimes a resolution greater than 20MP is needed. Now you can take a 50MP photo with just the press of a button. Plus, you won't need to use a tripod or other stabilization tools. Simply hold the camera and shoot. The OM-1 automatically takes 12 photos and instantly stitches them into one high-resolution image with spectacular detail.


Live Composite
All photographers know that it is complex to work with long exposure times. Rely on the Live Composite mode and the image stabilization system integrated into the camera body to take particularly impressive freehand photos of traffic jams, fireworks or "light painting". The camera takes a continuous series of images with the same exposure time and then combines them all into a single shot.


Focus Stacking
Focus Stacking mode gives images a whole new artistic dimension, adding extended depth of field from foreground to background. To do this, the OM-1 automatically takes a series of photos and combines them into a single, beautifully rendered composite image. Focus Stacking mode is mainly used in macro photography to add depth and thickness to shots depicting insects, spiderwebs and flowers, but it is also perfect for landscape photography where it transmits a strong spatial effect.


Expressive HDR
Create photos with a wider, more expressive dynamic range, with exceptional contrast and sharpness. You'll see darker shadows and brighter highlights for more visually engaging photos.


Starry Sky AF
It's never been easier to capture the beauty of the galaxy. Starry Sky AF mode offers two settings that ensure perfect astrophotography. The Speed ​​Priority setting works in synergy with the OM-1's powerful image stabilization system and allows you to capture night skies without worrying about focus. The Accuracy Priority setting allows you to use a tripod and a telephoto lens to locate particular stars with incredible precision. One mode. Two settings. Endless photos.


Anti-Flicker
Control the light indoors. Anti-Flicker mode compensates for artificial light by automatically activating the shutter at peak brightness to smooth exposure and color difference between frames.


Silent shots
Sometimes silence is golden. With this convenient mode, all shutter and electronic noises are silenced, so you can work in absolute silence when necessary.


Fast 120 frames per second electronic viewfinder
See the world in its true essence with our electronic viewfinder. It works with Live View mode at 120 frames per second for super-sharp viewing in low-light conditions and even in the dark. Nearly 6 million dots deliver spectacular resolution, while the barely noticeable display lag of 0.005 seconds keeps up with the fastest-moving subjects.


1,053-point Quad Pixel All Cross autofocus
A huge increase in autofocus tracking points. The OM-1 offers Quad Pixel autofocus with 1,053 cross-type points for high-precision focusing. Each dot is cross-type, allowing vertical and horizontal line detection for unrivaled accuracy. It's an advanced autofocus technology that ensures you can capture whatever you want, at any time, wherever you are.


RAW burst at 120 frames per second, AF/AE tracking at 50 frames per second
Do you need high speed to portray a fast-moving subject or instant action? You can count on the OM-1. Thanks to the silent electronic shutter it is possible to capture 120 frames per second at maximum resolution in RAW format. With AF/AE tracking you can shoot a burst of 50 frames per second* without blackouts or display lag. You'll always know what you're capturing. * 50fps is only supported by some M.Zuiko PRO lenses. Revamped AI detection autofocus
Focus on framing, not focusing. The OM-1 can detect certain subjects and lock focus in full automatic mode. It was named AI Detection AF. The camera identifies subjects such as cars, planes, trains, dogs or birds (you choose the mode) and locates them precisely, then focuses. Simply compose the shot and let the camera do the rest.


Pro Capture mode at 120 frames per second
Reacting to an action that lasts a fraction of a second is difficult. But not if you use Pro Capture mode. By pressing the shutter button halfway, the camera begins buffering a continuous series of photos at 120 frames per second. When the moment you want to capture comes, you simply press the shutter all the way down, and the camera saves that moment plus the shots stored in the buffer. Finally you will no longer miss the right moment due to a late reaction.


Significantly improved face detection
In portraits, faces are everything. Thanks to the completely new Advanced Face Detection AF functionality, you have a higher level of precision, tracking and responsiveness that will help you take portraits of a completely new beauty.


Dedicated AF button
When you put your heart and soul into composing, focusing, and shooting, switching between manual and automatic focus slows you down. That's why we added a dedicated AF button next to the AEL button, so you'll always be able to find it quickly.


Dust and water resistant (IP53)
You're working and it suddenly starts raining. Or you're on a desert photography set and the wind kicks up sand everywhere. Or maybe you're taking photos of some snowboarders and the temperature is below freezing. With the OM-1, no problem! You don't even need to carry accessories to protect it: a sophisticated sealing system protects it from the elements, so you can give your all without having to worry about your camera.


Stop the dust
Working in dusty and dirty environments is always a challenge. No more with the OM-1! The Supersonic Wave Filter keeps the sensor clean so images are free of unwanted artifacts. It oscillates 30,000 times per second to instantly clear dust and dirt from the sensor and ensure pristine images.


Shutter
The OM-1 features one of the most robust shutters currently available. It has been tested to be reliable for 400,000 actuations. And that means guaranteed performance!


New BLX-1 battery and charging on the go
You can work for hours on end thanks to the long battery life. The camera is equipped with the new high-capacity BLX-1 rechargeable lithium-ion battery that allows you to take 520 shots. You can even continue to use the machine while the batteries are charging, so you don't have to interrupt your work. The charger is sold separately and can charge two batteries at a time.

Revamped menu interface
Finding exactly the function you want is much easier, especially for beginners. The menu is even more intuitive and allows you to save time and work more efficiently.


Integrated image classification
This feature helps save time with photo editing. In fact, it allows you to assign from one to five stars to each shot to speed up the cataloging of images in the post-production phase.


OI.Share
The free OI.Share smart device app uses Wi-Fi to easily connect to your camera. Allows you to transfer photos and videos instantly, upload images to social networks and manage the camera remotely.


Control via USB cable
If you shoot in a photography studio, you'll find the ability to use OM Capture to connect the OM-1 to a laptop or monitor to instantly view captured images come in handy. Make as many changes as you want on the fly and increase productivity.


Connection to BLE mobile devices
The acronym BLE stands for Bluetooth Low Energy and helps conserve the camera's battery charge. It is in fact a Bluetooth connection that remains in sleep or low power mode until you need it, so the battery charge lasts longer.

4K/C4K 60p 10BIT
4K footage delivers incredibly detailed and exceptionally vibrant video that can be played back seamlessly on the largest screens. The OM-1 can also capture FHD content at standard 240p resolution, perfect on virtually any screen. It is also possible to shoot at a high bit rate with different frame sizes, including H.264 and H.265.


Slow-motion at the top
Slow things down and make beautiful slow motion videos. 240 frames per second in full HD is already an extraordinary possibility in itself. With the new TruePic


LUT OM-Log
Lighting can change quickly, especially if you are working on the move. Shooting in OM-Log mode versus Flat mode maximizes dynamic range to keep video clean and sharp with no loss of detail in shadows or highlights. A new LUT (Look Up Table) allows you to see an image already on site with colors that are close to those you might want your final image to have after color grading.


Raw output
Shoot in RAW 12BIT 4:4:4 format for easier, faster post-production. You can also transfer RAW video to external equipment like the Atomos Ninja V.


HLG video mode
HLG stands for Hybrid Gamma Log (High Dynamic Range video). Videos captured in this mode have brightness, sharpness and colors that far surpass those captured using standard dynamic range.


Video recording capabilities
The OM-1 has a full range of features to make great-looking videos, just the way you want them. You'll have a zebra pattern to display high and low brightness and help you find the right exposure. The camera's aperture, shutter speed, ISO and white balance are individually configurable for greater creative control. The display can be switched between picture quality mode and the BT.709 equivalent. There are also functions that simplify framing and allow you to record high-resolution audio. Basically, you'll have everything you need to produce superb quality videos.
