1983 Fender Stratocaster Elite with Hiscox Hard Case 

Stunning Guitar

In excellent condition, this 40 year old guitar shows just a few very light scuffs to the finish, otherwise it is in remarkable condition.  It has been regularly looked after and set up by luthiers throughout its life. As such, it plays great and sounds stunning.

There have been a couple of modifications to the electronics as visible in the photos. The pickguard has been swapped out for a conventional guard housing a traditional 5-position pickup selector, doing away with the original and unreliable 3-button setup.

There is an additional 2-way switch fitted, when in the forward position, all pickups operate in traditional Strat configuration. When flicked to the back position, the bridge and middle pickups become a humbucker, giving this guitar a far wider tonal variety than a traditional Strat.

Pickups have been swapped from the original Lace Sensors to a full set of Kinman HX Strat pickups.

In a nutshell, this is a very collectable guitar, made far better with the modifications made. Everything else is original including the Freeflyte Tremolo bridge with the original tremolo arm. This has been set as floating. One noteable high point on this guitar is the neck being lightly figured.
