This is a pair of heavy antique anklets, probably from India. They are possibly made from low grade silver and are decorated on all sides with a tooled pattern. They are fitted with a row of small bells close together on the underside and are hinged. The hinge is fastened with a small bolt with an eyelet finial.

They are in good condition in view of their age but there are a few signs of wear, some small dents, and one of the small bells is missing, but these small faults do not detract from their appearance. The inside circumference (oval) is 7 x 5 cms. (2.75 x 2 inches)

A very attractive and wearable item and one for the collectors of ethnic jewellery.
