Large Antique Sterling Silver Toast Rack, London 1795, Solomon Hougham
Large English antique sterling silver toast rack by Solomon Hougham, hallmarked from London in 1795.
The heart shaped cartouche has a family crest which we have not researched.
Its in good clean order and the hallmarks are very well struck and easily made out.
One central spar 3 from end has a small silver repair (not lead) a small silver solder has taken place at some point, it sits perfectly level but you can see base horizontal bar is not perfectly straight.
Overall a very good clean pre 1800 example.
Measures 170x110 and stands 140mm tall.
