This sharp looking 4-8-0 Steam Engine & Tender features (battery-free) MTH Proto-Sound 3 which provides for both Conventional transformer control (fwd-neutral-reverse) and supports MTH DCS Remote control (requires a DCS control system of some type.)

Additionally, the engine features a large "maintenance free" can motor with fly wheel, die-cast engine shell & frame, engine speed "cruise" control, 8 wheel drive with 2 traction tires, fan-driven puffing smoke unit & bright LED headlight with green side markers.

The PRR tender features a metal frame, die-cast trucks, detailed plastic shell, speaker and remote electro-coupler (in cmd mode.)

This engine & tender can operate on any 3-rail O/027 gauge track system.  (Note: Runs on 027 style track just fine but O-31 or larger curves are required)

***Note:  In conventional control mode the tender electro-coupler will function as a "fixed" non-opening coupler and transformer (or separate) Whistle/Horn and Bell controls are required to activate the Whistle, Bell & PFA sounds.   No controls are required for the engine chuff sounds & random dialog.***

I lubed the rollers, added a small bit of smoke fluid and then briefly tested this engine on my layout and the motor, light, smoke unit, conventional control, DCS control and sounds all worked great!  

***Note:  This engine has been re-set to ID "1" and confirmed to work with the MTH 50-1033 DCS Remote Commander***

Comes with the original MTH set instructions, spare tires, drawbar lock & smoke fluid (small tube) and I will wrap & pack with care in a set-foam cut-out prior to shipment.
