S.E.E.F.A.R. - Seeking in Ernest the Elevation of Female artists in Research

by Indiana Robinson, Shayon Price

For centuries, Black Female Artist were scrubbed out of the art fraternity and as such lost fame and more importantly, fortunes by the powers that be at the time. Now, it is up to us, people with a conscience to fix the wrongs of the past. The arts in general and BFAs in particular, as described in this book, benefits not just individuals exposed to it, but the entire society by proving creative avenues to tap into our intellectual strengths and emotional feelings, thus impacting the masses and challenging the status quo. This book features over 500 BFAs or expatriates seeking to elevate the arts in some underdeveloped countries with their expertise, not only as artists themselves but by modeling art for others to learn from them. For reasons such as these, we need to support the arts and BFA artists by purchasing this book at The works listed are brought to you by InJa Ink PPP - People, Production, and Promotion, an art collective that aims to feature the artistic and literary works BFAs and other artists as well

Her experience spans stints in several areas with one of the most important being working as a docent in the Shark exhibition at NSU Museum of Art in Fort Lauderdale Indiana was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. She has three siblings: Edgar, Fernandie, and Arthur, and is married to Jackie Robinson, lead singer of the Pioneers Reggae Group. With no children of her own, she cherishes her stepchildren Bobby, Marc, and Kelly and their offspring, Saffron, Sasha and her son Sachon, Shae, Marley, and Joseph King as well as her nieces and nephews: Marsha, Rohan Sean, and Dean Hibbert; Major Carlington Reid, former 2nd Lt. She is also blessed with Godchildren: Dean, Little Miss Joan Ennis-Thomas, Kerri-Anne, Tyree, and Jahari. The book features a young up-and-coming BFA co-author, Miss Shayon Price of Jamaica. As the senior author, I am recognizing the talents of our youths and know that we must keep them engaged in the arts from a tender age. As Picasso wisely chimed "all children are artists but we must challenge ourselves to keep them engaged in the arts so they become all they can be" (Forbes, 2015; Hill, 2019). Having worked with Miss Price, I am convinced that she has the skills to become a prominent Jamaican BFA, and as such, she is featured as one of the artists in this publication. Shayon took time off her 2021 summer vacation to illustrate several works in two of Dr. D's children's book series: Kids Play Guess the Digital Animal (and Kids Play Animals are Everywhere. Both are Creative Animal Kingdom Activity Books. Shayon's future plans are to publish a series of children's books based on her special love for animals, nutrition, and sports, and upon completion of high school, her aim is to attend the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts in Jamaica to pursue her artistic talents at a professional level. It is easy to see that a bright future awaits Shayon Price as she aims to prove Picasso's theory a reality.
