The Ruska glaze was designed by Ulla Procopé around 1960.
The name Ruska roughly translates from the Finnish as 'Autumn'.
Simple lines and tactile, with natural autumn colourings, beautifully designed.
Classic sturdy design, great for everyday use.
Dishwasher and microwave proof.
Brown glaze over white stoneware/earthenware.
These are early 1970s (base marks have worn off).
The glazes on these pieces vary, so please let me know in messages if you have a preference on a darker or lighter or specklier or shinier example.
All good, lightly used with some fine marks.
No chips to the uppers.
Some wear to the white stoneware baselines underneath.
They have an embossed number to the base.
They're chunky and heavy, so weigh about 1.7kg each.
