Gibson Pre War Style Bell Shaped Mother of Pearl Truss Rod Covers.  These will fit Gibson most banjos made from 1925 to 1938 and from 1987 to 2010.

These are 0.060" heavy, solid mother of pearl, NEVER from laminated mother of pearl scraps like some, and these are made and shipped from Virginia, USA, NOT FROM CHINA.

Mother of pearl is a natural material and will have swirls, birdseye, curly and wavy patterns in them and sometimes at random intervals.  In other words, these can and will have some "pearlsonality" and they will not be a uniform sheen... that's plastic's job, with all due respect.

These have a 1-15/16" Screw Hole Spacing just like the original truss rod covers from the pre World War II Days and the other years mentioned.  If you have any doubt, remove your truss rod cover and measure the screw hole spacing with something other than a tape measure... find a friend with a set of calipers or an accurate metal ruler.

The screw holes are 0.103" diameter. These truss rod covers are .055" thick on average and do NOT have rounded or tapered sides.

I have back-lighted all of these to make sure that there are no cracks, hidden holes or hair-line fractures.

The truss rod covers in the pictures aren't necessarily the truss rod cover that you'll receive.  I have several of these that I'm selling.

PLEASE NOTE: These truss rod covers will only fit Gibson Banjos and Mandolins... not guitars. Beginning in about 1937 or so Gibson started making slightly larger truss rod covers and changed again in 1942 (or somewhere around there) and kept changing again and again, so... these are for pre war Gibson Banjos and Loar style mandolins and their reproductions.

Please measure the hole spacing on your instrument before you purchase just to make sure.

Missing your old truss rod cover and looking for one that will match?  Building a reproduction banjo neck and don't want to settle for pretty close, or something not at all like the original? This is it!

These are New Old Stock.

I only have a few of these from an old stockpile here in my shop and I am only selling off part of them, so get them while you can because once they are gone... they are gone!

Don't let these get away!
