This type of hose is normally used for making the final connection of a gas hob or appliance to the solid supply pipework, allowing for easy movement of the hob for servicing and repair. GASM8 Caterflex hoses are manufactured for use in installations of gas-fired catering appliances carried out in accordance with BS 6173. The British Standard states that movable appliances shall be connected to the installation pipe by a corrugated metallic flexible connection complying with BS 669-2 and incorporating a self-sealing plug and socket.
NOTE: This hose is supplied with a restraint wire.
