I can't see any sign of wear on this at all but will stick with 'very near mint' in case your eyesight is better than mine.

So, this is the Dinky 163 Bristol coupe from 1955 and, yes, it is based on a real car... the unlikely looking 450 racing coupe which competed in the Le Mans 24 hour race, powered by a 2 lite straight six. 

These toys are very hard to find in such remarkable condition. This one came from a fine American collection and has the collector's record sticker on the baseplate.
