Up for sale is this very rare diminutive-size Baltimore stoneware pitcher. This piece is made by Henry Remmey or Henry Remmey Jr at the Henry Myers stoneware manufactory stamped H. Myers. The pitcher comes in at a great 6 3/4” tall and dates around 1825, likely a quart capacity. Baltimore pitcher’s this small are hard to come by and considered rare and sought after. The decoration consists of an uncommon vertical floral decoration in a bright cobalt. Above is a cobalt accent that wraps around the neck of the pitcher. The pitcher's decorations are similar to some Alexandria pieces in the manner and style, a great survivor. The pitcher’s condition is nice condition with minimal wear besides a small spout restoration and a body hairline that is very stable, very hard to notice from the front. Please see all the photos.
Height is around 6 3/4”
