Have you ever wondered what to do with your old cards?  Birthdays, Christmas, Get Well, Sympathy, Thank You?  My friend and I were discussing just this.  Of course you can just put them in the recycling bin, but that seems such a waste.  You can keep them, but how many cards can you really store in your house or flat?  My family has had a very close relationship with our local Hospice which does amazing work.  I love being creative and have been making cards for my own use for years.  So I decided to combine the two.  My friends give me the cards they no longer need and I recycle them.  I give them a new lease of life and other people get the benefit of appreciating the beautiful images, helping a fantastic charity and protecting the planet just that little bit.  I also recycle/up-cycle out of date pictorial diaries and old books which may otherwise go to landfill or get pulped.

This is a Large Handmade Blank Card featuring A cat painting. Made from a re-cycled book. Made in Suffolk, England.  The card is A5 in size, which is 21 cm x 14.8 cm, much larger than normal.
