Shutter: 42,xxx of a 400k life expectancy.
.
Visual condition: Shows some wear. Mostly just paint coming off at some of the extremities.
.
Notables:
.
- When I received this, the bottom AF-ON button was stuck in the pressed position. I have since gone over it with rubbing alcohol and pressed on it many times. It is presently working just fine.
- The viewfinder curtain has a hard time closing. Like, really hard. Pretend it is non-functional.
.
-  Brand new Energizer CR1616 internal battery.
.
- Brand new eye cup (JJC brand).
.
- Slight peeling of the rubber grip (top corner) on the battery door, but it's not very noticeable and the piece is still holding on strong.
.
Aside from that, all is good. All the other buttons, the wheels, the shutter, all is fine.
.
Also, I'm pretty sure this is a DND surplus item, as the copyright was under a Corporal Xxxxxx, and there is an inventory # beside the serial #.
.
As for the lens, it is fully functional. It has the AF squeak like 99% of the rest of this model lens has, with no actual AF issues. The zoom ring has a slight grit feeling, and you will hear it as it rotates, but nothing is affected by this. The focus window has a crack, but it remains intact and solid. The glass is great at both ends.
.
