The dreadnought: a fascinating back story Launched in 1906, Britain's HMS Dreadnought was the first all-big-gun battleship and the first to use steam-turbine propulsion. Larger, faster, quieter, and more deadly than any warship that had come before, it ushered in the modern era of naval warfare. In 1916, Martin, which had been handcrafting fine guitars since 1833, christened their new large-bodied acoustic guitars after the groundbreaking naval vessel. Normal shipping service for packages 2 lbs or less is USPS while larger packages are shipped Fedex. We also offer FedEx Next Day Air and FedEx 2nd Day Air services when needed. International shipments and APO/FPO may take longer to process due to the extra paperwork for customs and hand delivering the packages to the proper shipper when necessary. Used Gear: If for any reason you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase of a used item, simply return it in its original condition within 14 days of shipment and we’ll give you a full refund. Exceptions: There are no returns on clearance, discontinued, vintage, demo and select used items. Additionally, the following items are returnable only if defective OR unopened - strings, reeds, computers, tubes, earbuds, earplugs, recorders, tin whistles, flutophones, "world" wind instruments, harmonicas, raw-frame speakers, drumheads, drumsticks, turntable cartridges, fog fluid, clothing/footwear, sheet music, cleaners, polishes and polishing cloths. Software/soundware, books, CDs, DVDs, and videos may be returned for credit only if they are in their original, sealed packaging.All returned woodwind and brass instruments incur a $10.00 sanitization fee. Returned bows are assessed a $4.00 restocking fee. Returned mouthpieces priced over $300 incur an $8.00 sanitization fee; the fee for mouthpieces under $300 is $4.00. Stringed instruments priced at $1999.00 or more, must be returned within 10 days of shipment. In the event that the product is not in the same condition as you received it, you may be subject to a minimum 10% restocking fee, repair charge or disqualification.
