SUN GLASSES FOR THE SEVENTIES
Each window of the new Lockheed TriStar airbus will wear "sun-glasses" polaroid polarised panes which harness the light rays in one direction. By rotating one pane against the other, passengers will control the amount of light coming through the window to suit their own comfort without blocking the view with curtains or shades. In these three sequences, Miss DALE BRASIER of Toronto, an Air Canada stewardess, shows how the system works.
In the top picture the window is normal, in the second half-shaded, and in the lower one more than 95 per cent of the light has been
shut out. Air Canada will begin flying the Rolls-Royce powered Tristar in 1972. It has 10 on order. November 4th 1969 PAP 142360-1 (PNR-O)
