Starting 1953, Chevrolet continued the Bel Air name but as a unique body shape or as a premium trim that was applied to many different body styles. This continued until the discontinuation of the highly recognized name tag until 1975, but even then it was still produced in Canada for another six years. This model has become one of the most recognizable models in auto shows and continues to be one of the greats of the earlier years of the automotive.
