This is a piece of wearable art from the 70's. I really think this necklace is older than the 70's, but I am unsure.

HISTORY: Murano glass jewelry has been produced since the 13th century.
Originally produced in Venice but due to a fear of fire in the city, the
Hierarchy decided to move the factories to the island of Murano, thus the name Murano. This
glass jewelry is also commonly known as Venetian glass Jewelry. The
skills of glassblowing originated in the East, Egypt, and Syria, by
integrating eastern skills with that of the Murano Master craftsmen,
they created a unique product.
