The 1880's Patchen Horse Weathervane is an iconic representation of the famous racehorse "George M. Patchen" cast in copper. This weathervane pays homage to the legendary Standardbred racing horse, symbolizing the power, grace, agility, and legacy of the George M Patchen bloodline. The horse has a cast iron head and a beautiful green verdigris copper patina! This 1880's American full-bodied Patchen horse weathervane crafted by E. G. Washburne & Co. New York, NY is scarce and said to be one of the most prominent manufacturers of weathervanes in the 19th century with meticulous details of this famous racehorse's iconic head, flowing mane & tail, expressive eyes & ears, detailed teeth and the horse's iconic cadence "galloping in the wind". It is mounted on a new black iron base stand.

Measures 34" Long x 20 1/2" Tall (Includes iron stand) x 4 1/4" Deep.
